Fight Fossil Fueled Fascism April 19 in New York City

This Earth Day, we’re taking to the streets to send a clear message: Leaders at every level must stand up to Trump, defend immigrants, and fight for climate justice.

We know the recent ICE kidnapping of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil was a blatant attack and intimidation on our rights to protest. We also know that fossil fuels cause climate change and fascism – with fossil fuel companies and their enablers making up the biggest chunk of Trump’s financial backers, and receiving specific kickbacks and benefits in exchange.

That’s why on April 19 in New York City, we’re joining the march to protect migrants and the planet to demand: ICE out of New York; New York out of fossil fuels! Join us.

For a few weeks we’ve been talking about how an unholy alliance between big tech and fossil fueled fascist billionaires — we call them Oiligarchs — have captured our government at the highest level.

Fossil fuel billionaires donated millions to Trump’s campaign, and have gotten lucrative kickbacks and unprecedented environmental rollbacks in return. Just one shocking example: A new report just out from our friends at Oil Change International and reporters at the Guardian newspaper found that now Energy Transfer — the fossil fueled fascists behind the Dakota Access pipeline — is powering 75% more data centers and AI plants since Trump took office.

The impacts of fossil fueled fascism are all around usFossil fuels cause climate collapse, forcing millions from their homes. Fascist governments slash government services, and wreck the economy for working people to create resentment and scarcity. And then those same fascists try to turn us against migrants instead of holding polluters accountable.

This summer, we’re re-igniting the summer of heat campaign and taking our fight against fossil fuels, their financiers, and the fascists they fund even bigger. Just like last year, we’re kicking off a multi-week, multi-coast series of actions with a spring spark. But unlike last year, this year’s campaign is launching the campaign in the shadow of full fledged fascism and the rise of America’s police state.

But we’ve also seen the start of nation- and economy-wide resistance and non compliance. From federal workers speaking out, to the massive multi-million person April 5 Demonstrations last weekend. We are unbowed, and cannot be divided.

And on April 19, we will continue to build that spark of resistance into a flame of rebellion – from Earth Day, to May Day, and beyond. Join us on April 19 for a march to take back New York City from fossil fueled fascists at the march for migration and climate action.
