We’re asking everyone to call August 27-29. Why now? Oil is flowing through the Dakota Access Pipeline even though it does not have a completed Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Army Corps is set to complete the court ordered in the beginning of 2025, this is the perfect opportunity for the Biden/Harris Administration and their Army Corps to shut down the pipeline – which shouldn’t be operating now – once and for all.
The Army Corps must choose the “No Action Alternative #2” in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) deliberation this year, which would result in the shutdown and capping of the pipeline at the crossing of Lake Oahe. The Biden-Harris administration has so far ignored the tribe’s Free, Prior, and Informed Consent, which is vital in the decision-making process.
